226 Private Balcony Plunge Pools for a Residential Building in Production City
MAT Plastic Industries has been responsible for the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of 226 private balcony plunge pools for SAMANA Portofino, a residential development located in Dubai Production City, United Arab Emirates.
Samana International Real Estate Development (Samana Developers) developed the project, which spans approximately 24,108 square meters and comprises a basement level, ground floor, and 11 additional floors. The development consists of 226 residential units, including studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments. Each residence incorporates a private balcony pool, a fully equipped kitchen, and a smart home system.
Inspired by Italian comune-style architecture, the project combines water features with residential spaces and community-oriented amenities. Residents have access to a leisure pool deck, a surfing simulator, a basketball court, a jogging track, an outdoor cinema, concierge services, valet parking, a health club, sauna and steam rooms, indoor and outdoor gyms, and dedicated parking spaces.
Balcony Pool Systems and Installation Works
As part of the project, MAT Plastic Industries is carrying out the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of the balcony plunge pools integrated throughout the development.
The scope includes acrylic viewing panels, GRP pool structures, filtration systems, pumps and circulation equipment, waterproofing systems, mosaic tile finishes, and electrical and water supply connections. Three pool configurations were developed to meet the architectural and structural requirements of the building.
Close coordination between structural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines supports the integration of the pools while ensuring long-term operation and maintenance.
Acrylic Panels, GRP Structures and Filtration Systems
The project brings together acrylic panels, GRP structures, filtration systems, and waterproofing technologies within a complete turnkey package supplied by MAT Plastic Industries.
Private balcony pools have been integrated throughout the residential units as part of the architectural concept. Once completed, the development will further strengthen MAT Plastic Industries’ presence in the residential pool sector in Dubai.
