199 Private Balcony Plunge Pools for a Residential Complex
MAT Plastic Industries is responsible for the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of 199 private balcony plunge pools at the SAMANA Mykonos residential development in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Developed by Samana Developers in Dubai Studio City, the 18,342 sqm project consists of an L-shaped complex with a ground floor and four upper levels, comprising 198 residential units with integrated private balcony plunge pools. The development also features leisure decks, swimming pools, a jacuzzi, rooftop entertainment areas, landscaped spaces, valet parking, and solar panels.
Balcony Pool Construction and Technical Scope
MAT Plastic Industries will deliver four pool configurations developed to meet the architectural and operational requirements of the project.
The project is proceeding with the design, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of balcony plunge pools featuring acrylic viewing panels manufactured with Plexiglas®, GRP pool structures, filtration systems, pumps and circulation equipment, waterproofing systems, mosaic tile finishes, electrical and water supply connections, and commissioning support.
Coordination between structural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines ensures the integration of the pools into the building envelope and supports long-term operation and maintenance.
Pool Systems with Acrylic Panels and GRP Structures
Through its experience in composite engineering and water treatment technologies, MAT Plastic Industries provides a complete turnkey package for the project. The combination of acrylic panels, GRP structures, filtration systems, and mosaic finishes allows the pools to be incorporated into the residential design while meeting technical and operational requirements.
